Slumdog Millionaire

This film takes you through the life of a young man who becomes a contestant on India's version of "Who Want to be a Millionaire?" After he is accused of cheating the young man takes you through his life living in the slums of India and how he came to know each answer; and reveals why he is really on the show, in hopes that his childhood love will find him.

This movie won 8 Oscars, including Best Picture, and it is easy to see why. This movie made you cheer on the underdog and hope he finds his girl. This movie makes you feel alive and keeps you in suspense.

I really enjoyed this movie. It had a little bit of everything. It had suspense, romance, humor, and action; but the main theme of this movie was hope and determination. The main character Jamal Malik never gave up, even when everyone underestimated him, he fought for what he wanted his whole life.

The setting of the movie also contributed greatly to the movie. It was very interesting to see a movie set in India and get a look at Indian culture. The vibrant colours and unique sights made this film really come alive.

I think everyone should go and see this film.I give this movie five out of five stars.

He's Just Not That Into You

This movie had a great cast, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johanson, Justin Long, and Ben Affleck. This romantic comedy takes you through the ups and downs of relationships in the lives of different people.

This movie was cute. It had some funny lines and moments, but over all this movie wasn't very interesting. It was a little boring. The movie had a predictable script and storyline. Even though there was some great actors in the movie you only saw each of them for a little while because there were so many story lines happening at once. That didn't make the story confusing, but it made the movie less engrossing. This movie may not be the best movie ever, but it had a few good laughs.

I give it 2 and a half stars out of five.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starting Brad Pitt (Benjamin) and Cate Blanchett (Daisy) tells the story of a boy who ages backwards. The movie goes through Benjamin's life as he sees everyone else get older as he gets younger.

This movie very long, 166 minutes, but definitely worth the watch. I enjoyed this movie and watching as Benjamin "aged" through life and seeing how he interacted with the other people in his life. Benjamin's experiences changed who he was as a person and his perspective on time. The concept of time was a main focus of the movie. It made you think about how you are living your life and the amount of time you are spending on important things.
Although they could have made this movie a little shorter, it still would have been just as good. The movie was set in the 1920's. The setting contributed greatly to the originality of the script and plot.
I give this movie 4.5 stars out of 5 stars.
This movie had many different genres including drama, fantasy, romance, mystery, along with many others.

This movie nominated for 16 Oscars including Best Actor and Best Director.
